July 20 – Critique Workshop

Our group doesn’t have a study topic or guest speaker for July’s mid-month meeting, so will use the time for critiques. If you need constructive feedback on your WIP, please join us at next Saturday’s meeting.

Reserve a spot to read by replying to this post by 8pm Thursday. If you are planning to attend and not read, also please respond so readers will know how many copies to make.

Maximum reading is 10 pages double spaced. You may have to make about 6 copies to hand out for people to follow along, but we will let you know how many to make by late Thursday.

After your reading, critiquing begins with the person on your left, then continues clockwise around the table giving each person a chance to comment. Listeners will write notes and their own names on the handouts before returning them to you.

Book Release

LaRaine Larsen had a good article in the newspaper this morning, announcing the release of her new book Betrayals of the Heart.  She also gave a shout out of appreciation to our writers’ group. Thanks for the free press, LaRaine, and good luck on your book.
